The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max is the latest flagship smartphone from the Cupertino-based company. It features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2778 x 1284 pixels and a pixel density of 458 ppi. The display supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, and True Tone technologies, and has a ceramic shield coating that offers four times better drop performance than previous models.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max is powered by the A14 Bionic chip, which is the first 5-nanometer processor in the industry. The chip has a six-core CPU, a four-core GPU, and a 16-core neural engine that can perform up to 11 trillion operations per second. The chip also supports 5G connectivity, which enables faster download and upload speeds, lower latency, and wider coverage.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a triple-camera system on the back, consisting of a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with an f/1.6 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with an f/2.2 aperture and OIS, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with an f/2.4 aperture and a 120-degree field of view. The camera system also features a LiDAR scanner that enables faster autofocus in low-light conditions, improved depth sensing for augmented reality applications, and enhanced portrait mode effects. The camera system can record 4K video at up to 60 frames per second, and supports Dolby Vision HDR video recording up to 30 frames per second.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a 12-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a TrueDepth sensor that enables Face ID, Apple’s facial recognition system that securely unlocks the device and authenticates payments. The front-facing camera can also record 4K video at up to 60 frames per second, and supports Dolby Vision HDR video recording up to 30 frames per second.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that supports wireless charging and MagSafe accessories. The battery can provide up to 20 hours of video playback, up to 12 hours of video streaming, or up to 80 hours of audio playback. The device also supports fast charging, which can deliver up to 50% charge in 30 minutes with a 20W power adapter (sold separately).
The iPhone 12 Pro Max runs on iOS 14, the latest version of Apple’s operating system that offers new features such as widgets on the home screen, app library, picture-in-picture mode, app clips, translate app, and more. The device also comes with various built-in apps such as Safari, Mail, Messages, FaceTime, Photos, Music, Podcasts, Apple TV, Apple News, Maps, Siri, Wallet, Health, and more.
